“Taji” means crown in Swahili, and at Taji Hair, our mission is simple: To make women with textured hair feel seen, celebrated, and beautiful in their natural glory.

Founded by Keren Mairu, a passionate natural hair enthusiast and content creator with over 5 years of experience, Taji Hair was born out of a deep desire to uplift and represent women with 4C and highly textured hair.

For years, Keren showed up on social media as the big sister you always wanted—teaching girls how to love, style, and embrace their natural hair. But when it came to protective styling options like bundles, clip-ins, and wigs, the representation wasn’t always there. So, she created what we were all looking for.
